168 Coins
There is only so much time...How do you spend your week?
This idea originally started as “100 Coins,” but after a great conversation with a friend, it evolved into 168 Coins—because that’s how many hours we each get in a 7-day week.
No matter who you are, old or young, wealthy or broke, genius or beginner…
we all only get 24 hours per day. 168 Coins per week.
The question isn’t “Do I have enough time?”
The real question is “What am I spending my Coins on?”
How We Typically Spend Our Coins
Sleep – 8 hours per day = 56 Coins (33%)
Work – 8 hours per weekday = 40 Coins (24%)
In this example, after Sleep + Work → 72 Coins are left (43%)
That’s only 3 full days of life every week.
Now add even a few small things…
Workout: 1 hour x 5 days = 5 Coins (3%)

Your Coins go quickly—and they ALWAYS get spent.
How to Get More Coins (or make them go further)
Sleep Less (not always wise)
Work Less (requires strategy)
Stop spending Coins on low-value things
Say “No” more
ex. Less Netflix, fewer distractions
Buy someone else’s Coins
Outsource, automate, delegate
ex. house cleaner, accountant, meal prep
Make each Coin more valuable
Increase your hourly rate
Build leverage
Do higher-impact work
What else? How creative can you get?
The Deeper Shift: Your Coins Change Value Over Time
When we’re young, time feels endless—life is ahead of us.
But as we age, each Coin becomes more valuable for two reasons:
1. Your earning power goes up
One hour at 45 is often worth 10x an hour at 20.
Your skills, network, and experience compound.
A single Coin can create massive value.
2. You have fewer Coins left
There is a limited, unknown number of Coins in your life.
As the number goes down… the value goes up.
Scarcity increases importance.
This isn’t morbid. It’s clarifying.
It wakes us up to intention.
When time becomes more valuable than money, the way you live changes.
Questions to Ask Yourself
How am I currently spending my Coins?
What is each Coin actually worth (my true hourly rate)?
Where am I wasting high-value Coins on low-value activities?
What would change if I treated time as my most precious asset?
How could I design a life where my best Coins go to what matters most?
Final Thought
You will spend all 168 Coins this week.
The only difference between a powerful life and a chaotic one is how intentionally you spend them.
So… how are you spending your Coins?
